"Be a model or look like one," the ad said.  
  That's awesome, I thought.  I want to de- sign clothes for models to wear, so why not learn what it's like to be a model?   
My 'rents were totally against it 'till I convinced them I would learn cool stuff like self- confidence -- and to clean up my room!!
